Atrius Health's medical practices (Dedham Medical Associates, Granite Medical Group, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates) serve 675,000 adult and pediatric patients across eastern Massachusetts. We currently are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to support our Pediatric Telephone Triage Call Center for our Kenmore, Boston practice. This is a part time, 10 hour per week, variable schedule position covering weekends and evenings.
The Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant works collaboratively with a team of medical assistants and other advanced practice clinicians in a dynamic, collegial call center setting. Telephone calls can range from routine to emergent and may require prescription writing and interaction with an on-call MD. The NP/PA has access to comprehensive patient information via our fully-integrated EMR system, Epic. Shift/hours will be 10 hours per week, with a variable schedule, inclusive of covering weekends and evenings all of which offer shift premiums in addition to hourly compensation. Remote optional.
Education Requirements: Nurse Practitioner requires to be a graduate of master's level state and NLN approved NP program and possess state licensure to practice in the expanded role. Physician Assistant must have graduated from an accredited PA program. NCCPA certification licensure is required. Must maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Skills and Experience: This role is not an entry level position; it requires experienced clinicians who can provide advice and reassurance for concerned parents calling during off shift hours. Minimum of 2 years direct Pediatric experience required and ambulatory experience is preferred. Strong triaging skills required. Excellent clear verbal communication skills and proficient writing skills required. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and EPIC. Strong computer skills required.
