Purpose of Position-

The Benefits Analyst will be responsible for the administration of health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, leaves of absence, company vehicle program and overall departmental procedures. The role will act as relationship manager for selected vendor programs, acting as primary liaison between vendor and Benefits team. The role will have responsibility for the Benefits portal and customer service, benefits invoicing and maintenance of benefits records. In addition, this role may serve as project manager for a variety of special projects.

What You’ll Be Working On-

  • Manage Wellness programming, including, but not limited to, identifying key programs to introduce, coordination of scheduling with vendors and marketing awareness to employee population
  • Lead the design and implementation of annual open enrollment communications plan, partnering with vendors on best solutions to reach employees
  • Administration of domestic benefits from new hire enrollment to termination. Responsible for timely payment of monthly invoices. Deliver weekly new hire orientation presentation
  • Administration of the 401(k) plan to include biweekly remittances, interface uploads, regulatory filings and other related duties
  • Manage employee discount programs/vendors, both the national perks program and individual local programs of note
  • Assist in ensuring smooth operations for the department by fully understanding Oracle and resolving problems. Serve as liaison to Payroll. Oversee maintenance of departmental procedures for all processes
  • Maintain the Benefits portal to ensure its content is current and complete
  • Provide employees and HR generalists with information regarding benefits administration and interpret the application of policies and procedures, as relates to benefits. Conducts follow-up to insure responses are made in a timely manner
  • Assist employees with utilization of internal and external benefits related self-service technologies
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to ensure timely and complete responses to unemployment claims
  • Generate routine, regulatory and ad hoc management reports
  • Participate in the annual enrollment processes and the related year-end tasks. This includes Oracle updates and testing, over-age dependents, Medicare D, COBRA enrollment, domestic partner affidavits and employee communications

What You’ll Need-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in Benefits field
  • Knowledge of benefit laws such as COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, etc.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems and/or payroll applications preferred, specifically working knowledge of Oracle Business suite preferred
